Abijata Shalla Lakes National Park
Who We Are?
Abijata Shalla Lakes National Park is located in the central portion of the Ethiopian Great Valley, in Oromia Region, 207 km South of Addis Ababa via Hawassa asphalt road.
Established in1974 to conserve the spectacular number of aquatic birdlife. This attempt is part of the International efforts, mainly, USECO’s consultant made to protect wetlands of International importance for resident and migratory bird species.

Hot Spring
There are numerous hot springs along the south west and eastern shores of Lake Shalla. The springs vary considerably in size and temperature with the largest and hottest discharging over 50,000 liters of boiling 970c
